Tips on making mum feel special in ISO!

This Mothers day on May 10th, isn’t going to be any kind of usual Mothers day. However nothing in life is running as usual at the moment. So if mum is living at a different address, what can we do to make her day special? There are a number of options available and mum is sure to be delighted!

A delivery

Now is the time to sort out what you can get delivered to mum. Since the postal service is inundated, your physical products will have to be sent via express post by Wednesday in order to make it in time.

What to send??

If you are reading this, you need to get organised quick! So what is available that can arrive in time? My first advice is to check out some local wineries or restaurants that Mum loves… many are sending out Mothers day gift packs! Right now, we can’t go to the venue, but we can have venue deliver to mum!! If you have no luck there, check out these cool last minute ideas. If postage is involved, make sure you select express! (Click text to link through to the site)

– Adopt a Koala (e-adopt for instant delivery)

– The Gifting Guild for some lovely hamper ideas:

– Endota Spa

– Experience gifts from BananaLab
(validity of vouchers extended to 3.5yrs!)

– Brazillian Butterfly

Send a letter

This could be the perfect time to write mum a letter to express how you really do appreciate her. You could include some special memories, or a particular moment in time which had a real impact on you. Sometimes words are such a better way of getting the message across without feeling awkward to too emotional. Mum is sure to be touched by your thoughtfulness.

Connect

As we are doing with everyone these days, connect with mum via an online conference software. If all members are on iOS it could be a simple as using facetime, which allows up to 32 people to connect to one call. Otherwise you could use Skype (not password protected), Google Hangouts (needs a google account, max 10 participants) or Zoom (40min max for free).

You could consider some fun online activities such as Kahoot, Virtual Bingo, Scattegories or good old fashioned Charades. Any of these should create a good laugh! 🙂

Whatever you do, we’re sure mum will enjoy being with her family in whatever way possible, and she’ll be left with a smile 🙂

Wishing all the mums a beautiful day!!
